Episode 14 – Chris Waters

Executive Director of Three Sixty Collective

Today Skyra chats with Chris Waters. He talks about an experience he had on Jan. 21, 2013. On that day, Martin Luther King Day, he was relaxing at home and did something he’s done almost everyday for years. He checked his news feed.

After reading about several shootings in South Louisiana, one being right here in Lafayette, he decided to stop feeling helpless and do something. That event inspired him to seek out ways to create a better community through various activities, events, initiatives and even led him to create his own non-profit organization.

Chris believes that change begins and ends within the community. Listen to his story and find out why he is committed to change through peace, unity and equity.
